Coterie Restaurant & Oyster Bar
I stumbled onto Coterie when walking the streets of the French Quarter, not sure of where to eat dinner. Like many restaurants in the area, Coterie has their menu available to read from the sidewalk. Their fish options caught my eye but their menu was full of great Louisiana dishes so we stopped in and were immediately seated. We grabbed, the Fried Boudin Balls for an appetizer and OMG. A lot of times a fried portion of a dish doesn’t add much flavor and only serves for a crunch. Not the case here. The crunchy outside had a flavor of its own that mixed perfectly with the Boudin inside and both paired wonderfully with that insanely good sauce. I could drink that stuff! I followed up with the Blackened Redfish topped with Crawfish Etouffee and, of course, rice. All of it was delish. We didn’t try their oysters, but apparently they’re bomb. To top it off, a food tour came in for one of their stops here, solidifying Coterie as a top spot for upscale casual New Orleans fare.
